3 top ropes to choose from 5.7, 5.8 or 5.10 level event is cross posted with other climbing and adventure groups If you don't want to climb, you can explore Stoney Point park, moderate scrambling in the crags, cracks, and there are some easier walking routes around the entire formation

Parking on Topanga is free.

Bring:

rock climbing shoes if you have them (you can rent them from Sport Chalet or REI too) your harness (belay/top rope... also rentable at sport chalet or rei) helmet is a good idea bring an extra rope if you have one at least a liter of water some cash because we'll be going to P. F. Chang's on Oxnard & Topanga after for HAPPY HOUR!

Q. Can I bring my dog?

A. YES, 4 paw traction is legal in the Stoney Point area. Might be a good idea to have someone rappel you down though, not your dog. One sight of a squirrel, and it's all over.

Q. Can I just come to PF Chang's?

A. Oh, alright. But then you won't get to see super human feats of skill and strength, like Charles climb up the 5.7 route in under 45 seconds, or Janet use all her muscles to lift a 20 oz frappuccino, or Matty P. climb a wall with wooden clogs this time. The Asics Gel's couldn't hold him back last time. What will he climb in next!? TOGA, TOGA, TOGA, TOGA!!!! j/k. And what about the free techno disco laser light show... actually, it's just me pointing out routes with a laser pointer. Hey, some of us aren't as privelaged with these fancy ipod contraptions as others, okay! I don't have a wing in the back of my car that makes it look like an airplane either. :( No fair.

Q. What should I wear?

A. You know, recent statistics have made it a point that wearing black can attract bees. Well, what they're really trying to say is, "Check the bush before you lower your tush!" "Don't pee on a hive, cuz that don't jive!"

Q. I'm allergic to bees. Should I come?

A. Yes, just make sure you have your emergency shot thing or whatever. You'll be fine. The bees are actually about 100 feet from us.
