Urban hike: La Loma stairs to Orange Grove loop

Details
Join us for an Urban exploration hike that will be a total of about 5-5.5 miles and take about 2.5 hours.
This will include a total of 1,000 stairway steps, as well as a short hike down and up along the Arroyo Seco path, but apart from that, there will not be a lot of elevation gain or loss.
If you have ever heard of the La Loma stairs, this will be included. We willl cross the Arroyo Seco, walk past the historic mansion on Orange Grove, where the Rose Bowl is headquartered, and then come back along Colorado. As long as you do some hiking at least once every 3-4 months, and get some regular exercise, and do not have a heart condition, you should be fine.
We plan to get back around 8:00, just when many of you have worked up an appetite. There a few chain restaurants (the type that attempt to bring a healthier, more hip image to fast food) to eat at afterwards. Make sure you wear proper footwear (hiking boots are not absolutely necessary although we will be on a dirt path along the Arroyo Seco briefly), exercise type clothes, about a liter of water, and sunscreen/hat.
