First: Lunch at Buckhorn Day Use Area. Then: TRAIL-HIKE DOWNHILL TO TOP OF 100 FOOT TALL BUCKHORN FALLS. THEN WE CLIMB DOWN A SLOPE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE FALLS, AND ROCK SCRAMBLE OUR WAY DOWN THE CANYON TO THE PACIFIC CREST TRAIL. COOPER FALLS IS ANOTHER QUARTER MILE. THEN WE LOOP BACK TO OUR CARS VIA THE COOPER FALLS/BURKHART TRAIL.

DIFFICULTY: MODERATE, 1100 feet elevation loss getting there, then 1100 feet elevation gain on the way back
