THE PLAN:

Meet in the town of Lone Pine at 1:00 PM....Location: McDonald's
Drive north a few blocks and turn left onto Whitney Portal road. Turn right at Movie road, which soon turns to dirt. Turn right at intersection and Park in "Arches" trail parking lot

SATURDAY HIKE:
1:30-- Alabama Hills easy 1 hour, 1 mile loop, no elevation gain.

3:00 to 5:00 -- Whitney Portal, medium difficulty up to some cascades; 2 miles out and back total with 500 feet elevation gain. Dinner at Whitney Portal

THEN drive 53 miles north on highway 395 and take a soothing dip at Keough Hot Springs. Hike distance: 5 feet.

STAY OVERNIGHT IN TOWN OF BISHOP (7 miles north of Keough). YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO FIGURE OUT YOUR OWN LODGING OR CAMPING. The Cheapest hotels are a block away from Highway 395.

SUNDAY HIKES: Drive 1 hour north of Bishop. Distance is 63 miles. Go north on highway 395, and after 55 miles turn right onto highway 120. In 5 miles is the Panum crater parking lot. The crater is a few miles before the shore of Mono lake.

11:00 am--Panum Crater next to Mono Lake (200 feet elevation gain, 1 mile loop);

LUNCH IN TOWN OF LEE VINING
From Panum drive back to highway 395 turn right and drive north 5 miles.

After lunch continue north on 395 and turn left on Lundy Lake road/highway 167. Drive 11 miles to the Resort.

2:00 to 5:00 pm--Lundy Canyon waterfalls. WILDFLOWERS AND WATERFALLS AT LUNDY CANYON ARE INCREDIBLE!!!

Lundy Canyon hike is around 3 hours, around 4 miles with 500 feet elevation gain
