Details

Dear Fellow rock scrambling monkeys: I spent many days in 2017 clearing brush and poison oak at my rock playground so we could get to all the cool rocks.

Come explore the new Rose canyon loop and the Pinnacles loop. We will first climb to the top of South Mt. Rexmore. Then we will explore the high Pinnacles.

Post hike dinner: at the Country Deli located at Lassen and Topanga.

Note: The poison oak has been cut back, but just in case, please wear long pants and shirt if you are sensitive, as any remaining plants will have no leaves and be hard to identify.

WHERE TO MEET: at the Rocky Peak trailhead parking area located at the South end of the Rocky Peak offramp bridge at the 118 freeway.

THE STORY: I donated some cash to the non-profit group which I run and we bought this 118 acre collection of rocks, trails and two peaks in late 2013.... So why did I name it Mt. Rexmore? Because I can.

All the usual meet up rules apply....we're not responsible for anything....we're not your mom....bla bla bla

And everyone must sign a liability waiver....yup, Damn lawyers, because Mt. Rexmore is private property, and it does not have the automatic liability immunity which public parks have.
