Leo Carrillo Beach to Nicholas Flats, to a Creek oasis, 9 M, 1700' up

THE PLAN: We will hike up the Nicholas Flats trail, drop down the north end of the Flats via the Malibu Springs trail. We join Mulholland highway and walk downhill to the creekside oasis located at the 1.5 mile marker. After relaxing there for a bit, we will walk along Mulholland highway back to starting point

BRING: 4 LITERS OF WATER, A HAT, COMFORTABLE SHOES, SUNSCREEN, SNACKS

DIRECTIONS to trailhead: Follow Pacific Coast Highway west of Malibu all the way to the intersection with Mulholland Highway. We will meet at the park entrance driveway on the north side of PCH which is 1000 feet east of the intersection with Mulholland highway.

PARKING: You can either pay a lot to park at the State Park lots or park for free along PCH.
