Sandstone Peak and a bit west
Details
Standard route wide dirt road route from Sandstone Peak parking lot to Sandstone Peak, then west on the narrower Backbone/Chamberlin trail to see some new stuff. We will return the reverse of this route (NOTE: we will not do the usual cave exploration and dodging of poison oak)
AFTER HIKE MUNCHING: at Neptune's Net, bottom of the mountain at PCH and Yerba Buena Road.

DISTANCE: 8 miles total
THE PARK HAS A (totally arbitrary and silly) LIMIT OF 50 PEOPLE, AND 12 CARS MAXIMUM (National Park Service rules). So please carpool if possible. If you are the 51st person and/or in the 13th car, I am legally required to give you a dirty look for a good long while.
THERE IS NOT MUCH SHADE ON THIS HIKE..... EXPECTED WEATHER IS 84

BRING ALL THE USUAL STUFF.....I'M NOT YOUR MOM.................Bring snacks, , clothing (sorry, nude hikes are a different Meetup group), lots of water--at least four 16-ounce bottles, or 2 liters, a hat, comfy shoes, snacks, all your troubles..., camera, etc
