Come check out the best swimming hole LA has to offer! Featuring beautiful mountain vistas, swimming in crystal clear water, rock climbing, scrambling, and cliff jumping (all optional), and laying out along the shore.
The hike in is maybe a mile on flat ground from the paid parking lot (12 dollars or so). You can also park free on mulholland and hike in from the grasslands trailhead or bring some friends or carpool. The hike's difficulty level is easy. But it will be very hot! So plan accordingly for a hot hike into the Rock Pool.
Recommend bringing a bathing suit, a cooler, beach chairs, a towel to lay out on. Bring hiking sandals if you have some, or hiking shoes that can get wet.
This area is popular so they'll be lots of people and families sunbathing, playing music and having fun in the water.
Drive into the park all the way to the third parking lot which is at the very end.. From the the third parking lot, we'll meet behind the public restrooms. We'll follow the main trailhead to the shaded path, the "High Road" to the fork where you'll see the sign for the Rock Pool. Make a left at the fork and you'll see a port-o-potty. Follow that sign into the shaded tree creek and you'll see the Rock Pool.

There is a port-a-potty close to the Rock pool. Please use them and not the pool!
