WE WILL HIKE TO THE FLAT ROCKS AT THE SUMMIT AND RELAX THERE TO ENJOY THE VIEW FOR A WHILE. BRING SNACKS
Mount Rexmore trails now connect directly north to Santa Susana Pass Road through a new Trail just cleared.
Hikers can now use this trail to reach hike favorites to the north like Corriganville and Rocky peak Parks without walking on private property

Take a 3 HOUR free tour of the somewhat famous Mount Rexmore preserve. THE TRAILS HAVE BEEN FRESHLY TRIMMED AND WEEDWHACKED!
The 120 acres was purchased in 2013 with proceeds from garage sales by a Meetup hike leader to save the wildlife migration corridor between the Santa Susana mountains and the Simi hills.
It is home to at least 40 types of native flowers, trees and sagebrush, plus deer, bobcats, lizards, hawks, rattlesnakes and Mountain lions.

DISTANCE: 3 miles. Difficulty: moderate. Hike is all on trails and monkeying around on the nearby rocks is optional. Elevation gain is 600 feet.
THE USUAL STUFF: BRING ALL THE USUAL STUFF...I'M NOT YOUR MOM.... Bring clothing (sorry, nude hikes are a different Meetup group), 3 liters of water, HEADLAMP OR FLASHLIGHT, hat, comfy shoes, snacks, guitar, all your troubles..., camera, etc
