Very Wet Black Star Canyon Waterfall Hike (Sunday hike part 2)

I've never been here before, but my friends say it's a blast!
Wear clothes you can get wet because there are lots of creek crossings AND LOTS OF BOULDERS TO CLIMB OVER AND AROUND.. Bring and leave a change of clothes in your car, because you will get wet!

6.7 (OR 8.5?) miles round trip. Lots of poison oak to avoid in the canyon, so unless you know it really well, wear long sleeves and long pants. BRING TEC-NU LOTION JUST IN CASE!
HIKING POLES ARE VERY HELPFUL AT CREEK CROSSINGS.

WE WILL PROBABLY ALL MEET FOR DINNER AFTERWARD. PLACE TO BE DECIDED.

There are really two parts of the trail on the hike up Black Star Canyon. The first half is on dirt roads and is very easy. You could do it in sneakers. The second half follows the Black Star Creek bed and is much slower going. There are sections where you walk through water and mud. Toward the end of the hike, you have to pull yourself up rocks and boulders. It's doable, but slow going.
