9 Peaks of Griffith Park

LETS HIKE TO ALL 9 PEAKS IN GRIFFITH PARK

and see the two newest peaks added to the park in 2010: Cahuenga and Burbank Peaks

DISTANCE: about 11.5 to 12 miles. This is a loop hike.

ELEVATION GAIN: we start at 500 feet at the parking lot, and eventually reach 1800 feet at Cahuenga peak.

The peaks in order on the map below are 1-Beacon Hill, 2--Glendale Peak, 3-Mt Hollywood, 4-Mt Bell, 5-Mt. Chapel, 6-Mt. Lee, 7-Cahuenga Peak, 8-Burbank Peak, 9--Bee rock

TIME: back in November, I did this in 4 1/2 hours. As this is summer, let's slow down and take between 5 and 6 hours.
