Urban Hike with Stairs-Mt Washington, Moderate +

Join us on Wednesday, 5/21, AT 6:00 PM for an evening urban hike with stairs that will take us through the hilly areas of Mt. Washington, an historic neighborhood north of Dodger Stadium. We will go UP a few staircases and walk up Sunny Heights, a long, winding residential hill, to explore the west side of Mt Washington. I will post a link of Ray Watt, the developer of Mt Washington West, who has an interesting connection to Century City! If there's time we will take a short hike on Sea ViewTrail. We will be rewarded with scenic city and mountain views.

LEVEL: Moderate + for brisk pace and staircases. My pace is a bit fast but will pause briefly at top of hills and stairs to regroup, and to pet doggies.
You must be able to keep up with the group. There is no sweep. If you fall behind you are free to enjoy the area on your own.
LENGTH: appx 5 miles, 2 hours.
BRING: exercise clothes, workout shoes (hiking shoes are not necessary as trail sections are short), poles optional, flashlight, sunscreen, water, phone with GPS in case u want to leave early, bug repellant?
MEETUP SPOT: **Aragon Ave elementary School, 1118 Aragon Ave ** Los Angeles, CA 90065. In front of the main entrance stairs. Between Roseview and Loosmore Streets. You may have to Google directions manually as the Meetup link might be wonky.
MEETUP TIME: 6:00 pm sharp. We will have quick introductions and leave at 6:05pm.
PARKING: FREE Street parking on Aragon Ave, side streets Roseview and Loosmore.
RESTROOMS & WATER: Restrooms and water fountain are available at Cypress Park Branch Library. Arrive earlier if you want to visit the library and the restrooms. The library closes at 8:00 pm. You can park by our meet up spot. It's a short walk around the corner and across Cypress Ave. Be back before 6:00 pm

By joining this event each member accepts full responsibility for knowing their limits, for all injuries, health issues, material losses, assessing all risks and for getting lost. Each member shall make their guests aware of these policies and releases the host from all liability.
