Urban Hike - Painted Stairways of Los Feliz and Silver Lake

Description: This hike in the Los Feliz and Silver Lake neighborhoods connects together a number of stairways, most of which have been decorated with some form of art work, including the notable Fluid City Rising stairway pictured above. Level: Intermediate
Speed: Brisk, but with quick stops to regroup along the way
Distance: 6.75 miles
Elevation gain: ~1000 feet
Stairs: 17 stairways in all (12 up, 4 down, 1 up and down)
Duration: 3 hours
Bathrooms: no public facilities at the start. We will stop at the Silver Lake Rec Center on the way.
Parking: parking is available in the neighborhood near the start. Meters will be off on Fountain and Myra on Sunday.
Rain: postpones the hike
Liability: The organizer is an uncompensated and untrained volunteer. By joining this event each member accepts full responsibility for knowing their limits, for all injuries, medical issues, assessing safety concerns, material losses and for getting lost. Each member shall release the organizer from all liability and have their guests accept these policies also.
