Join me for another great adventure. 2025. This coming Sunday the weather is going to be perfect. The meeting time is 7AM. Adventure pass needed. Big 5 sells them for only $5 dollars. Also if you do not want to drive all the way I can take a person with me carpool. No need to pay anything please be my guess. If you drive where I am. The hike starts at the bonita campground parking lot the parking spaces are limited come with enough time to find a spot. This is a popular hike and lots of people will be there. It is a advanced hike that requires the hiker to be able to hike at least 12 miles. We will be taking plenty of breaks. It is a Sunday Funday hike. I do not time it. However the many times I’ve been there we have done up to 8 hours. The goal is to visit a prospect mine. The horse shoe mine, and the fig tree mine. Then go a hidden gem that you will enjoy an amazing WATERFALL hidden in the heart of the Saint Gabriel mountains. We will be crossing the river a few times back and forth. I recommend to bring a towel and spare socks and if you will, water shoes. Bring lunch and water. If you like to hike light bring your water filter and serve yourself from the Saint Gabriel river. Hiking poles if you have them are useful to cross the river. Sun block. Come and free up your mind from the big city. BRING: feel free to wear what makes you feel free and comfortable. Trail runners, hiking shoes recommended, bring your hiking poles, flash light if you have one when we enter the mine. and be prepared to have lots and lots of fun
