Fun hike to Josephine Peak

This hike is one of the closest peaks up the famous angeles crest highway. There are great views and usually some interesting flowering plants. The hike is 8 miles long with 1,900' of elevation gain, so it is moderately strenuous. We will be going up the fire road and the ascent is steady rather than very steep. We will be hiking at a steady social group pace, so its not an advanced cardio pace, or for really slow pokes :) In other words its a nice workout but we will stop and smell the roses so to speak! Adventure passes are required, although I never get them and the parking fine is 5 dollars from what I understand, the same as an adventure pass. Just park off pavement.
