Sunday Night Hike: Cahuenga Peak & More

CHANGE IN MEETUP LOCATION and START TIMEWe'll meet at the corner of Wonder View Drive and Lake Hollywood Drive, which is on the west side of the park, above the Hollywood Reservoir. Join us for a hike to Cahuenga Peak, the highest point in Griffith Park, with stops at a few of the park’s most iconic spots. This is a fast-paced, moderately challenging hike with elevation gain of 1600+ gain. Total distance is about 4+ miles and will take roughly 2.5 hours. We may take different routes (fire road or single-track), so please be prepared for a strong, steady climb.

Bring water, hiking shoes, hiking poles and a long sleeve shirt if you get chilly. You can bring flashlights but please only the red or green; white light diminishes night vision. Arrive 10 to 15 earlier, we leave exactly on time. If you cannot make it, please update your RSVP.

How to get there: From the 101 exit at Barham Blvd. Proceed about .25 mile to Lake Hollywood Drive and make a right and take it up the hill. We'll meet at the corner of Wonder View Drive and Lake Hollywood Drive. The best parking is usually on Lake Hollywood Drive south of Wonder View Drive.
