Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook and Kenneth Hahn Park (new stairs!)

The route is pretty simple. We will go up the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook, via the stairs, path or road (your choice). Then down a dirt trail to cross the pedestrian bridge at La Cienega and walk through Kenneth Hahn Park before returning to our starting point. As a bonus, our route will take us up 2 brand new stairways in Kenneth Hahn Park! Along the way, we'll stop at the Stoneview Nature Center. About 1/2 of the walk will be on dirt trails.

• Level: Intermediate
• Speed: average 2.5 miles per hour
• Distance: 6 miles.
• Elevation gain: ~1200 feet
• Duration: ~2.5 hours of walking, with breaks 3 hours total
• Bathrooms: None at the start. Bathrooms readily available at the top of the BHSO, at Stoneview, and in Kenneth Hahn Park.
• Parking: free street parking along Duquesne or Jefferson.
• Rain: postpones the hike

By joining this event, each member and their guest accepts full responsibility for knowing their abilities and limitations and releases the host/organizer from any and all injuries, health issues, material losses and getting lost.
