📋 About the Hike

Join us for a challenging but rewarding hike up Whiting Woods Motorway, a fire road trail ascending through the Verdugo Mountains. Expect a steep uphill with beautiful views of the Crescenta Valley and LA basin.

This out-and-back route is roughly 5.8 miles round-trip with an elevation gain of about 1,676 feet, typically taking 2.4-3 hours depending on pace and breaks.

• Surface: Dirt road; mostly exposed with little shade
• Views: Great vistas of the valley and city below

Meeting Spot: At the parking area near the end of Whiting Woods Road (street parking).
Time: Arrive by 6:30PM for quick introductions and a safety briefing.
