Bear Creek Trail Maintenance

Please note earlier meeting time (7:30) due to long hike in/out.

Meeting location: Gateway Center on Hwy. 39 in Azusa. North of town where the road narrows to 2 lanes. Look for the large turnout on the right side.

Please join the San Gabriel Mountain Trail Builders as we work to repair fire damage along the Bear Creek Trail. Hike will be around 8 miles round trip with about 1200' of gain. Shorter hike options are also possible.

We try to accommodate each persons needs regarding tasks and hope that you have a productive and enjoyable experience. We will provide tools but you can bring your own if you prefer.

Pants, long-sleeved shirt, good boots/hiking shoes are required. Hard hat, gloves and safety glasses can be provided. Please be sure to bring plenty of water and your lunch.

We hope to be back to the Gateway Center by 5 pm.
