Fryman rainforest side entrance

This is one of the best local hikes, and its stunning right now! There is a big bloom of yellow encelia flowers on the single track we will take. This hike uses a side entrance that avoids the main parking lot until we come down the hill. There is lots of street parking. The hike is 7 miles with 1,400' of gain and is considered moderate. We will be exploring some less frequented trails as well as the popular ones. The hike can be made shorter by returning down laurel canyon rather than returning down the trail. But thats for the amateurs :)
