11AM WONDERLAND OF ROCKS from Indian Cove day use parking
THE PLAN: THE WONDERLAND OF ROCKS
climbing up boulders in a cactus-filled canyon, Elevation gain: 500 feet over 2 miles maximum
Great scenery with fantastic rock formations, unusual granite & mosaic rocks. Frequent small scrambles up narrow slots between boulders, slick rocks, or tight spaces for footing. If you have confidence in your agility & balance then GO FOR IT! Long legs are helpful, but not required

MEET FOR CAR CONVOY AT 66TH AVENUE--MECCA OFFRAMP OF HIGHWAY 86, THERE IS AN ARCO STATION AND DEL TACO and Chelo's Burgers and STARBUCKS THERE. THE CAR CONVOY IS 10.5 MILES, HALF ON A PAVED ROAD, HALF ON A DIRT ROAD. The dirt road is suitable for all cars
