Mt. Islip and Windy Gap Trail maintenance

Meeting location: Gateway Center on Hwy. 39 in Azusa. North of town where the road narrows to 2 lanes. Look for the large turnout on the right side.

Our plan is to remove fallen trees near Mt. Islip and clear some brush on Windy Gap Trail. Hike will be up to 6 miles round trip with 2000' gain. Shorter hike options are available.

We try to accommodate each persons needs regarding tasks and hope that you have a productive and enjoyable experience. We will provide tools but you can bring your own if you prefer.

Long pants, long-sleeved shirt, good boots or hiking shoes are required. Hard hat, gloves and safety glasses can be provided or you may prefer to bring your own. Please be sure to bring plenty of water and your lunch.

We hope to be back to the Gateway Center by 4 pm.
