Hike Griffith Park, Level Moderate +
Details
Let's hike in Griffith Park on Saturday, 3/28 at 9:00am! The hike will be a mix of trails and fire roads and is a moderate + level hike due to the elevation gain, minimal breaks, and speed. In this case, average 18 minute/mile, roughly. However, other hikers may go faster, It is not for beginners as we have to maintain the pace in order to finish by the time posted.
Some highlights-
We will take the Fern Canyon Trail to Glendale Peak, and cross the bridge to ascend via Hogback. Hogback is a series of ascending, rocky hills, but no scrambling is required. From there we will go to Mt Hollywood to enjoy fabulous views and also take a quick snack break at the Tom LeBonge picnic table and afterwards head back to the start via a different route.
