Pyramid of Caves (Calabasas area) Rock-scrambling Hike

we will hike up the fire road to the rocks at the summit of Calabasas peak. Then we hike on a scratchy trail down to the Pyramid.

My plan to go back to our cars is to go back up to the summit and then head down the fire road. But...if there's a revolt and people want to take the rocky ridge back down, I might be convinced to do that. 🤪

DETAILS:
--This is an adventure hike. You will use your arms and legs a lot. You might get a bit dirty.

--MOST IMPORTANT, BUT CRYPTIC DETAILS: DIFFICULTY: a bit hard, there will be some optional rock scrambling (requiring use of your hands, but not ropes). There is some scratchy brush along part of the trail.

--PHOTOGENIC? Hell yes! EXTREMELY SCENIC!!
AS USUAL: BRING A CAMERA---You will understand why.
--DISTANCE: 3 miles round trip --ELEVATION GAIN: 850 feet in one mile.

BRING 3 LITERS OF WATER, A HAT, SUNSCREEN, COMFORTABLE BUT GRIPPY SHOES, SNACKS, Nestle's tollhouse chocolate chip cookies....
