OR YOU CAN DRIVE UP ON SATURDAY MORNING.
I recommend staying at a hotel in Mojave on Friday night, BUT don't stay in hotels located next to the train tracks on Highway 14. Very noisy!!

A weather report: on Saturday, Google weather says it will be a high of 91 in Mojave, 88 in Fossil Falls and 86 in Lone Pine and Alabama Hills.

Our schedule will be: Meet at the Mojave McDonalds at 10:00am, leave at 10:30.

Arrive at Fossil Falls day use parking at 11:30. Hike to rim of the canyon and climb down the cliffs to the bottom of the "falls", then loop back up to the top.

Leave at 1:00 and drive to Lone Pine and arrive at 2:00. Have lunch in Lone Pine.

3:30 drive to Alabama Hills arches loop parking lot. 4:00 to 6:00 hike and climb rocks,

6:30 or 7:00 meet for dinner at Mount Whitney Restaurant.

EVENING LEISURE TIME: HANG AROUND POOL AND JACUZZI AT DOW VILLA MOTEL

Drive north to town of Big Pine. Turn west at Glacier Lodge Road. Hike at South Fork Big Pine trail to glacier lakes ( 7 LAKES, DO ONE OR MORE) Starting elevation is 7800 feet, first lake is at 10,000 feet, 4.5 miles one-way, seventh lake is 8 miles one-way at 11,000 feet
