Mount Rexmore hike

We will do a loop hike from the Lilac Lane dirt parking lot trailhead to the Larry Trout memorial trail toplay on some cool rock formations, then summit Mount Rexmore to enjoy the 360 degree city view and drop down to Santa Susana Pass road

Mount Rexmore trails now connect directly north to Santa Susana Pass Road through a new Trail.
Hikers can now use this trail to reach hike favorites to the north like Corriganville and Rocky peak Parks without walking on private property
The 141 acres was purchased by a Meetup hike leader to save the wildlife migration corridor between the Santa Susana mountains and the Simi hills.

The mountain is home to at least 40 types of native flowers, trees and sagebrush, plus deer, bobcats, lizards, hawks, rattlesnakes and mountain lions.

DISTANCE: 3 miles. Difficulty: moderate. Hike is all on trails and monkeying around on the nearby rocks is optional. Elevation gain is 600 feet.

THE USUAL STUFF: BRING ALL THE USUAL STUFF...I'M NOT YOUR MOM.... Bring clothing (sorry, nude hikes are a different Meetup group), 3 liters of water, hat, comfy shoes, snacks, guitar, all your troubles..., camera, etc
