Hike to John Henge Rocks, then climbing (no ropes needed)...In Angeles Forest

DIFFICULTY: hard, but not too crazy. Elevation gain is 500 feet over a two mile loop. The hike and climb is very similar to the Wonderland of Rocks at Joshua Tree National Park (a rocky staircase).

THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE IN THE NATIONAL FOREST

We meet at the north end of Newcomb's Ranch parking lot at 2 pm.
We will car-convoy 2 miles north of Newcomb's Ranch. On the hill in front of us will be 5 collections of adventurous and climbable granite monoliths . The hike starts at 2:30 and should be over at 6:30.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING: I'm not your mom. This is rock scrambling! So bring grippy shoes, a hat, 20 gallons of water, snacks, maybe gloves

(trivia: JohnHenge is either named after the national forest restroom at the north trailhead, or famed hike leader That John Guy, who introduced them to Meetup fans 15 years ago)
