This area is gorgeous right now, the hills are lush, lots of water in the creek and an abundance of wildflowers are the attraction. The foot bridge has been re-installed leading across the creek to the mash site. Though we will end up at the well known mash filming site, this hike is about enjoying our beautiful local mountains. The hike is fairly easy, about 5 1/2 miles and 750' of elevation gain, and will be of a more leisurely nature, enjoying the walk by the creek to the rock pools, century lake and the mash site. We will venture off on a couple of short single track trails to enjoy the wildflowers and scenery. Parking is $12 at the state park entrance. We will take a little break at the shaded tables at the mash site for a snack and allow for some time to check out what remains from the show. No dogs are allowed in the park. We will meet by the restrooms off the parking lot.
