Topanga springs Swimming Hole and Rain Room

## Hike Details:
After walking down the Time Tunnel to the creek, we will soon reach the swimming hole. The pool is surrounded by red sandstone rocks...bring a swimsuit if you feel like taking a dip. Next we continue downstream for 15 minutes to the Rain Room. We will stay there for a half hour then return the way we came.

WE MEET outside of Topanga Rocks/Jalan Jalan Imports, an outdoor furniture store, and we will check out their 40-foot tall roadside "Owl" waterfall.
Bring swimwear, a hat, lots of water, shoes you can get wet, maybe an umbrella: don't get cooked by the sun
HIKE IS ABOUT A HALF MILE EACH WAY, AT A SLOW PACE, and
DIFFICULTY: is moderate
ELEVATION GAIN AND LOSS: A HUNDRED FEET AT THE MOST
THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR POISON OAK CONTACT.

There is a porta potty in front of Jalan Jalan Imports, home of Owl Falls,
THE TOPANGA CREEK HIKE FOLLOWS THE WEST SIDE OF CREEK FOR MOST OF THE ROUTE AND FEATURES LOTS OF CLIMBING OVER 3 TO 4 FOOT TALL BOULDERS. There are also a few rusty car bodies to avoid.
YOU WILL USE YOUR HANDS AS WELL AS YOUR FEET. THAT'S WHY I CALL MY HIKES "MONKEYING AROUND".
CLIMBING OF BIGGER BOULDERS IS OPTIONAL.....
