On this walk we will explore residential Westwood as well as the UCLA campus and Westwood Village. Highlights include a sculpture garden, botanical gardens and many familiar places on the UCLA campus; Pierce Brothers Memorial Park (final resting place of many famous people); and works by architects Richard Neutra and John Lautner (see event page photo). There is some up and down the hills in the area plus a couple of stairways on campus. Dogs should be fine everywhere except in the Memorial Park.

  • Distance: 6.5 miles
  • Elevation gain: ~600 feet
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Bathrooms: At the start at Holmby Park. Also at Pierce Brothers Mortuary along the way.
    Parking: there is ample unrestricted parking on Comstock and Club View Drive
  • Rain: postpones the hike
