To celebrate me getting another year weirder, and my 17th year of tormenting hikers thru Meetup, we are doing three fun activities. You can join in for any of them:
12:30-2:15pm: Indian buffet lunch

at the air-conditioned Regal Theater in Simi Valley

Then, at 6:00pm, we will meet at the Lilac Lane Trailhead dirt parking lot for a quick hike to the summit of Mount Rexmore to watch the sunset and see the new addition to the peak preserve. 2 miles and 300 feet elevation gain. BRING WATER, PARTY SUPPLIES AND A HEADLAMP OR FLASHLIGHT.
