Urban Walk-Frogtown "First Fridays" Fall event

Join us Friday, October 2 at 5:30pm for an urban walk along the LA River path to Frogtown First Fridays Fall Festival. This will be the LAST one of the year. It is free to attend. We will meet at Aragon Elementary School at 5:30pm. There is plenty of parking along the surrounding residential streets. First Fridays is from 5-10, but our Meetup event is from 5:30-whenever you want to leave. We will have time to explore for a bit, maybe eat or drink, no pressure. You are welcome to branch out and explore on your own, break out into groups, or follow me. My plan is to walk to Zebulon. Please see the pictures I posted for more info about First Fridays.

From Aragon we will walk over to the Taylor Yard Bridge, and walk along the Los Angeles River path in Frogtown/Elysian Valley. We will have few brief stops along the way to enjoy the surroundings (appx 3 miles one way). We will enjoy various arts and crafts vendors and music and activities along the way. You can bring your own snacks or buy food from the vendors. Outside food is allowed at the Brewery but they do NOT allow outside alcohol. Food and beverages are available for purchase at the Night Market, along with merch from local vendors. No purchase necessary. Dogs are welcome!

RETURN TIME: Probably leave Spoke Cafe around 8:30-8:45?? I will post a RETURN UPDATE in the Meetup APP by 7:30 so please check your phone app. We will REGROUP AT COOLIDGE AVE (BY SPOKE CAFE) SEE MAP OF PICTURE so we can start walking back together. From Spoke Cafe to Aragon, it’s about a 45 minute walk. RETURN TIME WILL BE POSTED ON THE MEETUP APP AS A “RETURN UPDATE”!!

ROUTE/MAP: See the photo of the route/map of the path venues. Each 🎃 on the map represents 5 minute walk so if you are at Frogtown Brewery it's about a 15 minute walk to Spoke Cafe.
BRING: (no need to pack heavy) water, ID card if you buy a drink, credit card, cash (1's preferred), food or snacks optional, light jacket? exercise clothes, comfortable shoes with good grip and tread (the majority of the hike is on asphalt and concrete), flashlight, phone with GPS in case u get separated, bug repellant?
LENGTH: Appx 6 miles round trip. 5:30-9 or 10:00 latest
LEVEL: Easy due to mostly flat terrain, minimal elevation gain, no stairs (I knowww!! Bummer!).
PACE: The pace is moderate.
MEETUP ADDRESS: In front of the school steps. Aragon Ave Elementary School, 1118 Aragon Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90065.
MEETUP TIME: 5:30 pm sharp. We have quick introductions and leave promptly at 5:35.
RUNNING LATE?? Park along San Fernando Road and Arvia and meet us at the corner. Check parking signs.
