This is a no meetup host event. There are always tons of people at this event! This event goes on rain or shine!

The Great LA Walk will be doing its 21st walk! Always held the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
This year they will go down Santa Monica Blvd, part of the legendary Route 66, for 2026! The walk ends at the Santa Monica boardwalk at the Route 66 sign.

This is a great event that draws plenty of people from all over. People form their own groups, and go at their own pace. You can do as much or as little of the route as you would like.

Starring Point

Lady of the Lake statue at Echo Park Lake. The statue is on the northwest part of the lake, close Glendale Blvd and Park Ave.

Start Time 9am. After a talk by Michael Schneider, the person who started The Great LA Walk, the walk will start. Roughly 9:15am

Parking- with a huge crowd expected, parking will be difficult to find. Read all parking signs.

If you’re going to do the entire route, best plan is to park a car in Santa Monica at the end point, then get back to Echo Park Lake for the start. Using carpool, rideshare or public transit.
