Happy Foot Stairhike in Silver Lake

Sorry for the short notice. The forecast calls for clear skies and no rain after 1pm.

Silver Lake lore said whichever sign you saw when going past the rotating Happy Foot and Sad Foot sign, that’s how your day will go! So we’ll make it a Happy Foot day by doing a stairhike and seeing the LA dodgers lose to the Brewers!!

Sadly that doctor’s office closed but the signs are in a store in Los Feliz. But a neighbor put up a Happy Foot and Sad Foot flag. So let’s do a stairhike going past there.

About 5.2 miles with 13 staircases. The first part of this stairhike is easy, relatively flat and not many stairs. The last 2 miles will have the most staircases.

We will do:

Marathon Stairs- Steve Martin drove down this staircase in the movie LA Story.

Three staircases in Echo Park, including Delta, and go by Randyland.

Two staircases on the eastern border of Silver Lake we don’t do often.

Start time 6pm hike will start at 6:05pm

Meeting place corner of Berkeley Ave and Benton Way.
