DESTINATION: ROCKY PEAK, out and back
HIKE LENGTH: about 5 miles, elevation gain around 1200 feet.
DIFFICULTY: medium
Bring hiking poles and gloves
DOGS ARE OK AS LONG AS OWNER IS ON A LEASH

i am co-leading this hike with Valerie H. We'd like to leave the trailhead at 4:30 pm, get to the top about 6:00 for sunset, and return in the moonlight. The rocks are beautiful bathed in moonlight and the lights coming on in both Simi and the San Fernando valleys brighten the trail. I usually don't need a headlamp, but definitely bring one!
