Dia de Los Muertos at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale
Details
RAIN: TO BE MONITORED. Event subject to cancellation.
Join us on Sunday, November 1 at Forest Lawn in Glendale for a meandering walk around the grounds and Dia de los Muertos event. DDLM is a celebration of life where families honor the souls of their deceased relatives. Ofrendas, or altars, are designed and decorated with photos, flowers (marigolds), and favorite foods of the departed.
The actual DDLM event runs from 12-3pm. The earlier start time will give us time to explore 3 facilities: The Hall of Crucifixion-Resurrection, Great Mausoleum, and The Museum. The DDLM event will feature a folkloric dance group, Mariachi music, and marionettes. After the festivities there is an option to continue exploring the grounds.
