HIKE IT UP! TO MT.THOM..Do we have too?...YES!

http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/b/3/1/2/event_76425842.jpegThis here hike is pretty short ,but! it's a gnarly little sucker.I go all the time.It's tough and when you are either going up it or down it, you see a couple of people on the way.Usually when I hike I say Hi! to everyone that I pass.On this hike the greeting is usually Hi! so your crazy too! and the reply is, Yes! I am..So you see we Hikers all have something in common..We are all nut's.

If you hike in Griffith Park then you are used to hiking up small hills.The highest peak there is Mt.Lee.1,700 feet or so and that is not a hike that is done on a weekly basis.

This hike is 2,400 feet its very steep.There are two paths up there.The first one is very steep the whole way the second path is easier''less steep'' but when you get 1 third of the way up the paths converge and then it's straight to the top.At this point there is a rest area with benches and you can turn back.

What this hike offers is a intense cardio workout and it will work your leg muscles to the max.

It's not for everyone.But hiking like this is not for everyone.There really is only a small group of people out there that do these kinds of hikes!I'm one of them.
