Legend of the Haunted Picnic Table in Griffith Park
Here is a brief copy of LA Times article.... "High up and deep within Griffith Park the scene remains otherwise no different from how it looked on the evening of October 31, 1976, when tragedy literally befell a young Hollywood couple, inconceivably crushed by a nearby tree that toppled over upon them while they made love upon a picnic table just off winding Mt. Hollywood Drive."
Question: Why after all these years hasn't the table and fallen tree been removed, and replaced???? Could it be that they are AFRAID of the consequences??

See article for yourself...about the tree shaking and strange sounds and scaring people out of their wits.
If I had any guts, I'd schedule this for Halloween Night this October.
Here is the article....read it if you have the courage http://www.latirnes.com/news/local/la-me-haunted30oct30/
We will meet at the parking lot #2. We will walk past the golf driving range and take steep trails, easy trails, and a long winding road - Mt. Hollywood Drive no less - to get to our destination which is on the western side of the Park.

I lead a medium, steady pace, and we will take breaks on the way. Once at the table with the fallen tree (the scene of the crime) we will take a break and pull out our snacks and rest. (FROM A DISTANCE OF COURSE)
Perhaps we will have strange visitors. :-) Maybe somebody should bring Ghost Food. Felix Martinex (Sierra Club Leader) told me the other night that he talked to one of the Rangers who actually saw one of the ghosts himself.http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/d/d/6/event_109683542.jpeg
This is what can happen to you....look at this poor fellow...he was found this way 2 years ago.
