Let’s take a hike.. errr walk around the Silver Lake reservoir.

The hike/walk will be about 2.5 miles with a couple of small hills, a classic level 1. Level 1 hikes are generally defined as “Less than 3 miles – not much elevation”.

If you’ve never hiked before or are a more advanced hiker who just wants to chill out, then this is for you. In the coming weeks, we’ll be exploring other level “1” hike/walks around Los Angeles and then start moving into level 2 then level 3 hikes.

Each week there will be a discussion of hiking necessities and I’ll even answer questions about other hiking leaders and what you might expect on their hikes.

Dogs on leash are welcome. Some water might be nice. The path has some itty bitty pebbles on it, so flip flops aren't recommended.

Let’s meet on the corner of W. Silver Lake Drive and Tesla Avenue, opposite the lake side of the street. And, since there are so many ways to get to Silver Lake Reservoir, I’ll just let the below link help you find it. Directions might end up exceeding the amount of text in “War and Peace”.

Parking is residential, so please pay attention to parking signs.[masked]&lon=[masked]&zoom=15&mvt=m&trf=0
