Excellent hike! Hot weather but very nice people made this possible. Thank you Rex for organizing and leading this long hike! I need to go back there to take some photos of the last rocks formations and the artwork with rocks. This 8 or 9miles hike would be less exausting if it starts at 8 or 9 AM. I ended up so thirsty! People must carry at least 5 bottles of water, because is a very long trail.

    • Peter W.

hey phil, 168 market at valley blvd, right?

      September 10, 2012

  • rexfrankel

total gain and loss is around 2200 feet. We start at 2000 feet above sea level, go up by 250 feet, then drop by 450 feet and regain 200, (hitting 2000 feet elevation at the Corral canyon Road parking lot) then go up another 200 and then retrace our steps back to the cars. So ups and downs both ways may total 2200 feet. But I'm going to be playing my guitar the whole way so the pain will be so great you won't notice.
