So, after a month and a half of doing a regular hike at Temescal canyon, I decided a change was needed.
If you are looking for an easily accessible year round flowing waterfall to hike to, this is it.
However, because its an easy waterfall hike, and the parking at Eaton Canyon nature center is free, it is VERY popular and crowded. Still, even your hike leader likes to take his time in the morning as others, so I scheduled this at 10:00.
This hike is basically 4-5 miles roundtrip, with little elevation gain, BUT with many stream crossings. This is not Bridge to Nowhere however, all stream crossings have enough boulders that you can still have (although no guarantee) dry footwear by the end.
So, 4-5 miles, little elevation gain, FREE parking, to see a 40-50 foot waterfall. Again, I can't guarantee you won't get wet, but you probably won't.
Afterwards, for those interested, we can go to the Altadena Ale House (on Fair Oaks) afterwards and try a beer you've never tried before.
