The Eastern Sierra are truly a special place. So vast and so varied. And best of all . . . Not crowded.
Expected Weather: Daily high of around 72 degrees.
This event is for Fri/Sat night camping with hiking planed for Sat and Sun. And then depart for home on Labor Day Monday Holiday.
If you wish to depart on Sunday and not have it be a three day weekend. That's OK. Some folks have to do that.
Our site is located close to Saddlebag Lake.

Easy, Medium and Hard Hikes are planned.
We will divide by interest for different led hikes.
Planned Easy Hike is taking pix and exploring the Beaver Dam Lake, and hiking to the first falls area. Lundy Canyon Trail 3mi Out and back

Planned Medium (Saturday)
Take the ferry across Saddlebag lake, hike 20 lakes loop and then hike down Lundy Canyon past the waterfalls to our site. This is likely going to be the one most folks do. It hits the most scenic areas and is mostly flat or downhill. It's a one way hike with car-shuttle. You won't find this on any hikes-sites as it a locals only secret.

What gear or food do I need?
The only specialized gear you need is Tent, Sleeping bag, Sleeping Pad (yoga mat). Everything else is household items you already have.
Note: this is Tent camping. No RV. No Trailers. No giant campervans.
About food: You bring your own food. This way you know your allergies or diet needs. You are also able to prepare and eat at times convenient to you. There will be communal fire pits to use for cooking, and boiling hot water provided. Bring any cooking gear or stoves you wish.
