This month's meetup is another combo with Marcelo Lewin of http://www.howtocreatevr.com/ in Fullerton, CA.

Thanks to HowTo Create VR, we'll time to try out and play with the new Vive Pro from HTC, thanks to Steven Xu, HTC evangelist.

WebVR Meetup Founder Pete Markeiwicz will give an intro to the newest features of the new WebVR/WebXR, along with the expanding ecosystems of interconnections to Unity and Unreal VR builds. Pete will also lead a basic coding session using A-Frame and a WebVR framework.

Finally, and throughout the night, we'll be having a trivia challenge all about Ready Player One, both the book and the movie! So make sure you either read the book or go watch the movie!

We'll have some really cool prizes for the "High Five". We'll even have a "final challenge" where you'll play Space Invaders on an actual Atari 2600 where the top winner will win the grand prize! Oh yeah, and we'll play some 80s music too, just to round out the night!

Learn How to Put VR onto the Web via AFrame and WebXR
Presented by Dr. Pete Markiewicz of Plyojump
In this presentation, you'll learn about the emerging JavaScript API WebXR, which allows creating full Virtual and Augmented Reality projects on standard web browsers using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. After discussing the new features of the WebVR API, Pete will introduce A-Frame, a library that allows 3D WebXR scenes to be created with HTML-like markup tags.

Dr. Pete Markiewicz has a background in science and has been designing and developing for the web since 1994. He has been teaching Web, Graphic and UX design to students since 2001, authored 3 books on Web Development and is an expert on the Millennial generation. He has been working with WebVR since November 2015.
