WOW, enrollment in this group really took off faster than I expected.
OUR FIRST MEETUP WILL BE POSTED SOON. WE WILL LET YOU KNOW AS SOON AS WE HAVE PLANNED IT.
We are on our 50s.
We drink beer.
We play Scrabble.
It's worked for us before and we can do it again!
The idea is simple; we meet once a month or so at a local establishment that serves beer. We bring a copy of Scrabble. We order beer and we drink scrabble. We play a mean game of casual "kitchen table" Scrabble. Swear words are okay! Hanging out and talking is okay. We'll let you use the dictionary before you place your word but please, let's make sure the game moves along. This is a grown-up's only event. So no, we will not meet in a coffee shop and we will not meet in a library and no kids. We will meet in a bar a tavern or saloon or a speakeasy or any place where all the ne'er do-wells hang out. We ask for basic decency and the ability to get along with people while consuming alcohol. We don't care if the highest you've ever scored in a game of Scrabble is 69 points (nice). We don't care if you're really good at Scrabble. You just need to be cool, fun and flexible. Does this sound like your kind of thing? Well then contact us and let's get our first meet up scheduled!
