Preparing From the Inside Out

Birth is a threshold—a transformation for baby, parents, and the whole family. Embodied Childbirth is a 5-week in-person series for expecting parents who want to prepare for birth through more than information alone. Together, we explore the physiology of birth while developing a deeper relationship with the body, baby, nervous system, and one another.
Through education, somatic practices, movement, discussion, and hands-on exploration, parents and partners will build practical skills for navigating labor while developing greater confidence, connection, and trust in the birth process.
During Our Five Weeks, We Will Explore
- Birth physiology and the stages of labor
- Nervous-system regulation, safety, and trust
- Breath, movement, labor positions, and pelvic awareness
- Partner connection, communication, and co-regulation
- Comfort measures and hands-on labor support
- Understanding interventions and making informed choices
- Pre- & perinatal awareness and baby's experience of birth
- Preparing your relationship and creating your village for birth and beyond
This class welcomes partners as active participants. You will have opportunities to practice together so that support during labor becomes something you have experienced in your bodies, rather than something you are trying to remember from a handout in the middle of birth.
Included With Your Series
Registration includes complimentary access to the Awakened Ashram App — Birthing Within, including live bi-weekly gatherings for questions and support, a monthly Birthing Within topic, embodied practices and resources, connection with other expecting parents, and App access throughout the series and through your birth.
After your baby arrives, you may choose to continue in the Awakened Ashram App through a monthly subscription.
Sliding Scale: $323–$423 per couple
