What we're about
Thank you for checking out our group. Active Singles Adventures has been in Los Angeles for 35 years now. We used to be Athletic Singles Association but changed our name so as not to intimidate anyone (and because a person didn't need to be "athletic" to enjoy our group). But we are still "ASA" .
We continue to organize interesting social and active events so you can come out and meet our travelers and consider coming on one of our trips which we run as Singles in Paradise.

Our typical trip consists of 40 singles. We recently traveled to Peru, Kenya, China, Costa Rica, Tahiti, Panama, Belize, Honduras, Greece, Amsterdam, Belgium, Ireland, Galapagos and other exotic destinations - all with experienced guides and terrific group rates.
Meet fellow adventurous singles near you! Come to our Meetup to meet us, share stories and get first-hand recommendations on new exotic destinations. Find fun, laughs and maybe even a new travel buddy!
Check out http://www.singlesinparadise.com for all the details on our trips.

DETAILS
A hands-on class for you and your bike put on by Wiley Wohlf. Learn the basics for bike maintenance and safety. Come at 9:00 and then ride at 10:00 to Crystal Cove.
The Basics (and yes you can!)
There are numerous steps that anyone can take to keep their bike in top running condition and easy to ride. We will go over numerous things that can be performed by any rider without the need for expensive tools or mechanical skills. We will cover:
Tire Inflation
Proper inflation makes your bike ride with less effort. What is the correct pressure? How do I do it?
Chain Lubrication
Lubrication keeps your bike quiet and running smooth. What lube should I use? How do I apply it?
Adjusting Seat Height
Improper seat height can make it harder to pedal and cause stress to your knees.
Basic Pre-Ride Checks
Are the brakes working properly and is your bike shifting properly?
PARKING
There is free, safe, and easy parking at the same location where the subsequent ride will start at 10am. Bring your bike so that you can check it as we go along.

CARDIO – GRATITUDE WALK ON THE BEACH – SOCIAL EXERCISE –
Sunday 1:30 – A crowd favorite. alter the Sunday routine. Start the week with a combo of Cardio and Gratitude on a meditative beach hike with likeminded people. CDM beaches to Sherman Gardens, an amazing botanical garden. Open for all levels - great for first timers, shy people, expert hikers, introverts, extroverts, and YOU!
COVID AND GET OFF THE COUCH
For many, Covid diminished in-person social interaction. Listen to that gentle voice within - ‘It’s healthy to get out and socialize’ This event is outdoors and is casual socializing while on the move. Elevate your heart rate, raise your better feeling vibration and meet new people. Gratitude is not just a word in the dictionary but a state of being. Grateful People Are Happy People and Those That aren’t, - Aren’t.
RUNNING LATE?
We go to Little Corona Beach first and a restroom break and come back by Inspiration Point on the way down to Big Corona Beach.
GRATITUDE & CARDIO
The better you feel the more you allow. This cardio walk encompasses all the short hills, stairs, sand, and beauty of the Corona del Mar beaches. The group pace will be a purposeful trudge and you can go at your own speed – slower or faster. The route is designed for all levels and Included in this walk is a visit to the stupendously beautiful Sherman Gardens. https://thesherman.org/
THE SCIENCE OF GRATITUDE
Research shows you can’t be stressed and thankful at the same time so when you combine gratitude with physical exercise, you give yourself a double boost of positive energy. You flood the brain and body with positive emotions and natural anti-depressants that uplift you rather than the stress hormones that drain you.
"Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance."
- Eckhart Tolle
“Gratitude is more than a thought or feeling, it is one of the Great Powers that allows us to truly know love, and continually fills our lives with awe, beauty, and satisfaction”.
– Rev. Keith Horwitz - Soul Center OC - Corona del Mar, CA - www.soulcenteroc.com/
