AMERICAN/JAPANESE FUSION CUISINE - 26 BEACH RESTAURANT
SATURDAY, MAY 23rd, 7 PM
Let's celebrate the Memorial Day Weekend this evening as we join fellow members Mike & Alan at 26 Beach Restaurant in Venice. 26 Beach Restaurant was founded by the Mori family and still going strong for the last 33 years, an impressive accomplishment in this day in age. Equally impressive is the Mori Family's lineage in the food industry. In 1830, Katsu's great grandfather, who was mentored by a Shogun chef, opened one of the first sushi houses in Tokyo, Japan. Fast forward to 1982 and 26 Beach Restaurant was born in Venice, California, combining a multicultural menu of Japanese and American dishes. The restaurant features a lovely, heated garden with a retractable roof to let the sunshine featuring whimsical decor. Their menu features a variety of entrees to suit everyone’s palate. Entrees start at $20. Be sure to make room for dessert. If we dine outdoors, be sure to bring a jacket or sweater as it will get chilly. There are outdoor heaters. This dinner is limited to 12, so sign up soon. The reservation is under Alan’s name. If your plans change, please update your RSVP accordingly. Please do not show up unless you RSVP on the Meetup site. Please be on time. Join us for a fun evening.
