We will join fellow members Mike & Alan at Tara’s Himalayan Cuisine in Venice for dinner this evening. Tara's Himalayan Cuisine is the dream of Tara Gurung Black. Born in a tiny mountain village in Nepal, she started her training in Nepalese classical and cultural dance at age eight. This inspired Tara to theme the restaurant according to classical and cultural Nepalese tradition. Serving authentic Nepalese and Tibetan cuisine, Tara invites all to experience a true taste of home. We use mountain grown herbs and spices from Nepal and whenever possible, locally grown vegetables. Their yak is Colorado raised. Their dishes use the finest ingredients and are prepared with a light touch. The restaurant also features an outdoor dining. Their desserts are tempting. Most entrees are under $25. In case we are seated in their outdoor patio, bring a sweater or jacket. There are heaters. This dinner is limited to 12, so sign up soon. We have reserved a table reserved for 12. Or I-10 E, take EXIT 4 for National Blvd toward Overland Ave. Turn right onto National Blvd. Turn left onto Overland Ave. Pass by McDonald's (on the left in 1.0 mi). Turn right after the Jack in the Box (on the right) Turn right. The restaurant is located on the left side. The is a small parking lot behind the restaurant and street parking. Read the signs for any parking restrictions.
