UPDATE (10 Feb 2019): We are confirmed at the lounge area upstairs (our normal location) at DiOrio's.
Tonight's topic will be Grin--the first project to actually implement the new MimbleWimble protocol. Grin's main net went live less than a month ago. The underlying MimbleWimble protocol has a lot of interesting potential benefits for both privacy and scalability, and many of us are very excited about it's potential, even if the Grin coin might have questionable investment value due to its monetary policies.
So come on out and join us! It should be a very interesting demonstration and discussion.

This is the original (since 2013!) Louisville Bitcoin Meetup, typically scheduled for the first Sunday evening of each month. You might also want to check out our Louisville Cross-Reality Crtpto Club (XRCC) meetup, typically held every Thursday evening.
We also have ad hoc gatherings from time to time. And there are several other fantastic blockchain and crypto meetups in Louisville and surrounding areas. Be sure to check them out as well!
The default meeting location for the Louisville Bitcoin Meetup is DiOrio's at 919 Baxter Ave., but please watch this space for any possible updates. We will also update the meeting description to announce specific presentations for individual meetups.
We are always looking for presenters, so if you have a topic you'd like to share with the meetup, please contact the organizers, or just shout it out in the discussion. As long as you are not running some kind of scam or blatantly promoting a scheme in your own self-interest, we are happy to consider just about any topic in the crypto space.
