In a world that moves fast and fills every moment, we gather around a simpler idea:
doing less, together.
Each week, we gather around a shared table in cozy “third places”—coffee shops, cafes, bookstores, and dessert spots—to unwind, connect, and enjoy unhurried time together.
Imagine sinking into a comfy sofa alongside other locals, while sipping a delightful beverage: adeni chai, mocktails, hot chocolate, milkshakes—or sharing tasty snacks near a crackling fireplace at a communal table.
What to expect
We begin with a simple, optional opening question to ease into conversation. From there, the evening unfolds naturally. Some people chat, some play card games, some listen, some simply enjoy the atmosphere.
Conversation often drifts between light and thoughtful:
- What makes a place feel welcoming
- How do we build social lives beyond work?
- What does healthy social infrastructure look liked in the South Bay?
Or just:
- What’s something fun you’ve tried recently?
You’re free to engage as much or as little as you like. Many people come for a quiet evening—and end up meeting someone new.
When we meet
Fridays, 7–10 PM (or until the venue closes)
Drop in, stay as long as you like, and settle into a slower kind of night.

Creating thoughtful, well-organized experiences involves ongoing planning, coordination, and community resources.
The Community Hosting & Curation Fee helps support the time, tools, and subscriptions that keep the group running, while also helping ensure reserved spots go to members who genuinely plan to attend.
The fee also helps cover costs associated with reserving group experiences, including last-minute RSVP changes, cancellation penalties, minimum-spend requirements, and credit card holds that may be required by restaurants and venues.
Typical fee
- Most events: $5–$10
- Elevated experiences or more coordination-intensive events: $15+
Hosting fees may vary by event based on the type of experience, venue, and planning involved. Please refer to each event description for specific fee details.
